Our first morning sleeping in! We are at Aqua Yachts Harbor Marina today. Our friend Tracy had to take his boat over to a mechanic this morning and we were waiting to see if he would be able to travel on with us. He is still having some engine problems, but he is going to wait until we get to Dog River to get it fixed. We decided to go ahead and leave around noon today so we could get to the anchorage just outside our first Lock. Today was our first fuel fill up since we left our marina. We put 147 gallons in the port tank and 198 gallons in the starboard tank. Our generator is fueled by the starboard side, so we used more from that tank. We have been running the generator mostly just at night though. We have 6 Locks to go through tomorrow, but we might go an extra 20 miles and get through the 7th Lock. We have gone through 7 Locks so far and have 12 more to go. We made it to our anchorage just before dark and got settled in. It was a nice anchorage, but we had zero cell signals which was a bummer….no texting or facetime with the kiddos. I made homemade chili tonight and it was perfect for a cold, cold night. We turned in early tonight because our plan is to leave at 6:30 in the morning.
