Tennessee River!!
Today marks our 7th day of traveling on the boat! Only 4 more days to go! We have been gone for almost a month, but if feels more like two months.
This morning we had breakfast and then said goodbye to our friends Stephen and Mary. We were on our way by 6:00 am. We had another beautiful sunrise and arrived at our first lock (Wilkins Lock) by 11:00 am. Unfortunately, we had to wait for over an hour for 2 tows/barges to go through. It was 1:15 pm before we finished locking through. This set us back a bit on our itinerary and we started making back up plans for where we would stay tonight. Wheeler Lock was much quicker! We arrived at 2:30 pm and were locked through by 3:00 pm. Our next stop was Ingalls Harbor (Free Dock) where we are staying the night. We had hoped to be here before dark, but that didn’t happen. It was a bit of a struggle finding it in the dark, but we made it and were tied up by 6:00 pm. We had pretty good internet signal today and I was able to Face Time with Madelyn and watch some of Jayden and Zayne’s basketball game. We made plans to get the 4 older grandkids (Mason, Jayden, Zayne and Madelyn) on Sunday and they will ride the last leg in with us. The babies (Aerie and Rylan) will get to spend the night with us on Monday night. They are only 3 and 4 years old and I can’t watch them while we go through the locks. James grilled some steak kabobs tonight and we are ready for bed! We are enjoying this fabulous trip, but it can be tiring and feels a little like work at times lol! So, now we are ready for bed and will be up at 5:00 am to start the next day!
Be blessed my friends!

Just a question.... is there a fee to go through each set of locks? I've read about the Panama Canal and ships going through there pay a fee to go through.
