Grandbabies!!

We left our anchorage this morning around 6:20 am (CST). We had two Locks to go through today. The first was Nickajack Lock and everything went smooth. There wasn’t much activity in Chattanooga today, but we did see a few boats on the water. We made it to Chickamauga on schedule and then went to the Chickamauga Marina to meet up with Chris and Brittany and the kiddos. Oh, how happy we were to see those sweet faces!! It took a couple hours to get to our anchorage and once we got there (in the dark) it was hard to find a place to anchor because the water level was lower than the reviews about the area. Pap Pap grilled burgers for us and then it was off to the hot tub! We have had the most beautiful weather this whole trip and now it rains! That didn’t stop the kids, they still wanted to get in the hot tub! So, here I go up to the top deck, with my rain jacket and let them get in the hot tub for a little while. Did I mention it was freezing also?? After the hot tub, they played video games, board games, etc. and then it was time for bed. All in all, it was an awesome day!!

As I was uploading some photos on Facebook, I had a memory pop up from two years ago today. It was a photo of these four grandkids (Mason, Jayden, Zayne and Madelyn) spending the night with us for the first time on our Sea Ray Express Bridge that we had just bought in 2018. Very cool that here we are two years later and they are spending the night for the first time on our Hatteras!

Tomorrow will be a busy day with four kiddos onboard! I’ll try to get as many photos as I can!

See ya tomorrow!

I love my sunrise photos everyday!!

Railroad Bridge....a train was coming, but we didn't have to wait....we fit under the bridge without it being raised.

Nickajack Lock

This is the area where we started entering "The Gorge" near Chattanooga. We missed the changing of the leaves by a few weeks, but there was still some color left.

Some beautiful houses on the river

I love the ocean...but my mountains in Tennessee!! Just as magnificent!!

We saw quite a few bald eagles on this trip. Here are a few from today:

This one was alone

Here are two together:

Our four oldest grandchildren on their way to meet us in Chattanooga!

Our oldest daughter and her husband (Brittany and Chris) brought our four oldest grandchildren (Mason, Jayden, Zayne and Madelyn) to meet us in Chattanooga. We had to wait until the next day to see the youngest (Aerie & Rylan) because they are too little to manage going through the locks (without another adult to help supervise).

This is the photo that was taken two years ago today....it was the four grandkids' first night on our Sea Ray Express Bridge!
