A Day of Beautiful Scenery!
We got a late start due to the Bass Pro Fishing Tournament. It was really cool to see all those boats (over 60 boats) preparing to blast off all around us! Then we had the Norfolk Southern Railroad Bridge and we had to wait for them to raise the bridge, but again, cool to see the train passing by. It was a BEAUTIFUL sunrise too!!! We only had one Lock to go through today. We had to wait just a little while at Guntersville Lock, but that was okay because an old friend and his wife (Greg & Terry Miller) live nearby and they came over to wave as we went by. We were able to get close enough to shore to talk a bit before the Locks were ready for us. It was dark by the time we got to our planned anchorage and we weren’t able to find the area where we needed to be, so we went on up about five miles to our backup anchorage and dropped anchor around 6:30 pm (CST). We tried to watch the Tennessee game, but we had low signal and DirecTV did not get my account started, so I didn’t have ESPN. Probably not a bad thing that we missed the game, from what I did see. LOL
Most of my pictures today are just from the beautiful scenery! Enjoy!!

We made it to the bridge for a little while...it was still chilly today
